2. 鹽印刷(Salt printing)是一種比鉑/鈀(platinum/palladium)階調更長的工藝.
說明: a. 被視為窮人的鉑金.
b. 也比近似的蛋白(albumen)印相法階調長.
3. 需要極大反差的負片, 來配合其較長的曝光階調.
(氰顯影屬於較短的曝光階調, 鉑金的曝光階調約為氰顯影的二倍)
4. 曝光時間緩慢.
5. 屬於打印過程(POP or printing-out process), 可以一邊曝光, 一邊檢查狀況.
說明: a. 因此適合在戶外陽光下曝光.

c. 1磅硫代硫酸鈉 (sodium thiosulfate)
d. 1磅碳酸鈉 (sodium carbonate)
e. 1加侖蒸餾水(distilled water)
2. 數位負片:
Pictorico ohp:
a. ultra: 有較厚的吸收表面(5.7 mm)以吸收更多的墨水, 適用於 salt.
說明: 適用於需要加深墨水(增加對比度)的情況.
b. premium: 有較薄的吸收表面(5.2 mm), 適用於 gum.
說明: 適用於需要降低墨水(減少對比度)的情況.
3. 紙張:
a. 紙材的選擇影響: 色澤, 對比與階調分佈.
b. 推薦的紙材:
(1). Arches Platine 310gsm: very smooth, 100% cotton, watermark
(2). Bergger Cot 320: slight texture, 100% cotton, no watermark
(3). Hahnemühle Platinum Rag: one paper to do all, 300gsm, 100% cotton.
